Welcome to Runnymede District Scouts

Runnymede District Scouts badge/logoThe Scout Association logoWe are a Scout District operating in the County of Surrey, and are part of The Scout Association. The aim of the Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The Method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.

We achieve the Aim of The Scout Association through...

The 6-25 programme consisting of Beavers (6 - 8 years), Cubs (8 - 10½ years), Scouts (10½ - 14 years), Explorers (14 - 18 years) and Scout Network (18 - 25 years) This link opens in a new window.

We provide a full active programme of activities, find out more by viewing our District Diary. You can also find out about the exciting things we've been up to in the past by reading our District newsletter.

We also provide support, training and programme ideas to the adults who get involved in Scouting, find out about this and more at ScoutBase, the UK Scouting portal This link opens in a new window.

Celebrating 100 Years

Featured story imageAlmost 200 people enjoyed a party tea as 1st/4th Addlestone came to the end of their Centenary year. Invitations had gone out to all the members of the group together with most of the people who had helped over the past year, from Jumble Sale staff to the District President and Chairman. All who attended sat down to a tea of sandwiches, crisps, cakes, jelly and cream and all the old favourites.
